Dr. Melissa Duff

Dr. Melissa Duff was born and raised in Paradise, Newfoundland. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma from Memorial University before obtaining a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Dalhousie University. There she was awarded the Dr. H. W. W. Beckwith prize for greatest proficiency in clinical operative dentistry in her graduating class.Since her graduation from dental school, Dr. Duff has maintained a strong focus on patient care, believing that open and honest communication with patients is the key to providing compassionate and ethical care. She firmly believes in lifelong learning and makes it a priority to regularly participate in continuing education courses, with a particular focus on TMJ dysfunction and orofacial pain. She is an active member of the dental community, currently sitting on the executive committee for the Halifax County Dental Society and is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association’s Professional Development Committee.Outside of the office, if Dr. Duff isn’t watching the Blue Jays or Philadelphia Eagles (Go, Birds!), she can be found with her nose in a book or spending time with her husband and dog.
